Roger and his Kathleen along with their son Sam look after some 130 milking cows and hundreds of sheep on some 400 acres. Located near the Lake District National Park in Yorkshire, England. They had two border collies that were experts in rounding up the sheep. They served us lunch up in the barn loft . Roger and his family work long hours everyday...up at 5am...milking the cows 10-11 at a time ...collecting some 1,500 liters of milk every day which is 350-400 gallons and gets about 35-38 pence per liter. Both the milk and the sheep pay the bills but the cows are the best. We all enjoyed the day and glad they provided "boogies"for all of us .
Thanks to fellow traveler, CC, for the information about the farm.
