We took our family on this wonderful trip so they would have a great time and would spend time together. During these years, our children and their families lived in locations that were spread out and they did not get to see each other all that often. We did not expect or want our children to reciprocate in any way. But, they did!
Knowing that we were interested in taking a river cruise in Europe, the children all got together prior to this vacation and planned a European river cruise vacation gift for us. The gift was presented to us on the last night of the vacation following a week of treasure hunting mystery.
We hated to see the family spend the money on us, but we certainly appreciated knowing that they felt strong enough about us that they would plan such a gift and put such an effort into the process leading up to presenting it. It was a wonderful gesture and it brought tears to our eyes!
We are very proud of our children, their spouses and their children and are blessed to have such a wonderful family which includes one additional member, Joshua, that was born after our vacation.
