In May 2014, we took a trip to Eastern Europe followed by a week in the Austrian Alps. The first 16 days we were on a formal Grand Circle Travel (GCT) tour of Eastern Europe. The tour started in Berlin and went to Warsaw, Poland; Krakow, Poland; Prague, Czech Republic; Bratislave, Slovakia and terminated in Budapest, Hungary. The adjacent map shows the our path and locations on our GCT tour.

For more information about our Eastern Europe trip and some photos from fellow travelers, see our website at http://tboee.wyckoffphotos.com. Although the website has not been used by many of our fellow travelers, it does provide information about our trip. It shows the people we traveled with, our itinerary and optional tours and there is a page of photos of our tour director.
Following the tour, we rented a car and drove to the Marco Polo Timeshare in Maria Alm, Austria our home base in the Austrian Alps for a week. From there we traveled around the cities, villages, countryside and mountains.
During our trip we saw many interesting place in the six countries we visited. Hopefully the photos in the various galleries on this website will do justice to the beautiful sites we visited. Unfortunately, we were to so many places that we do not remember the names of them all. Enjoy the photos even if we can't tell what some of them are.
There are 346 photos of Eastern Europe and 236 photos from Austria. We don't expect you to look at all of them. For that reason we have created separated galleries of the places we visited. Placing the cursor over a gallery link will show you how many photos are in that gallery.
Each gallery page contains a description below the thumbnail images. The portion in italic is our comments about the contents of the gallery. On appropriate pages, below our comments is an "About" description of the area or location. Many of the descriptions came from the Wikipedia Free Encyclopedia.
There are two gallery sections; The Best of Eastern Europe (our tour) and The Austrian Alps (our explore on our own). The photos in each gallery can be viewed by clicking on each photo or clicking the left or right arrow after selecting an initial thumbnail. The gallery can also be shown as a slideshow.
Enjoy!
