We set off on a 1.5-hour long sightseeing cruise on Killary Fjord through the heart of rugged Connemara. We relaxed inside the comfortable catamaran and out on the open-air deck as we glided along the sheltered waters of Ireland’s only fjord. The views of the dramatic Twelve Bens, Maumturk and Mweelrea mountains, whose craggy slopes rise to the north and south, were beautiful. There was also live commentary from an onboard guide as we looked out for dolphins swimming alongside the boat.
